Exclusive interview of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Euronews on the eve of the first “Central Asia - European Union” summit in Samarkand

During the telephone conversation held on April 1, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian warmly congratulated each other and the friendly peoples of both countries on the spring holiday of Navruz and the sacred Ramadan holiday – Eid al-Fitr, sincerely wishing peace, prosperity, and well-being.

On April 1, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation from the People's Republic of China, led by Liu Jianchao, the Head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

The working visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Tajikistan has concluded. 

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, participated in a joint event – a concert featuring masters of culture and art from the three countries.

As part of the cultural program of the summit in the city of Khujand, the heads of state of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan visited the Khujand Fortress and learned about its history.

On the sidelines of the ongoing trilateral summit in the city of Khujand, a meeting took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

In accordance with the program of high-level events taking place in Khujand, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov inaugurated the Friendship Stele at the junction of the state borders of the three countries.
