In the lead-up to the “Central Asia – European Union” Summit, which will take place on April 3–4, 2025, in Samarkand, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) has prepared an infographic reflecting the dynamics of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade and investment cooperation with the European Union countries over the past 7 years.

On April 3–4, 2025, Samarkand will host a historic event: the first-ever Summit between the European Union and Central Asia. 

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay a working visit to the city of Almaty on March 29 to hold an informal high-level meeting.

On April 4-5, 2025, Samarkand will host the first Samarkand International Climate Forum, bringing together world leaders, politicians, experts and activists to discuss pressing climate challenges.
