Address by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the ceremony dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On August 31, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “New Uzbekistan” park and laid a wreath at the foot of the Independence Monument.

A ceremony to commemorate the victims of repressions was held on the alley “Shakhidlar khotirasi”. It was attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Over the past seven years, entrepreneurship has become a priority direction in Uzbekistan's policy. 

The main driving force behind the development of anti-corruption strategies is Article 5 of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), which obliges member countries to maintain “effective, coordinated anti-corruption policies”

The large-scale reforms initiated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev since 2016 on the implementation of anti-corruption policy has showed significant results in all spheres of life, as well as form a positive image of the country.

The attention of the international community to Uzbekistan has increased markedly in recent years.
