On May 1, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Sergey Lebedev, who was in Uzbekistan chairing the observation mission for the constitutional referendum.

During a telephone conversation on May 1, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov congratulated the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the successful outcome of the constitutional referendum and the organization of the event in line with high international standards.

On May 1, the issues of implementing agreements at the highest level and the progress of promoting major cooperation projects were discussed during a telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
