At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, on July 2 the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed to this country with a state visit.

Azerbaijan is located at the crossroads of East-West and North-South transport corridors and has a favorable geostrategic position.

The modern relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan represent an example of a dynamically developing strategic partnership based on a solid historical foundation, spiritual closeness and mutual political will to deepen comprehensive cooperation.

In accordance with the order and decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 28 with an aim to comprehensively support young generation and increase its activity in the state and public life, a group of outstanding young men and women received “Kelajak bunyodkori” medals and “Mard uglon” state awards.
