Modern Central Asia is becoming a space of sustainable growth and mutual trust. The countries of the region demonstrate a strong commitment to building balanced relations with global partners, prioritizing practical initiatives in trade, energy, transport, and innovation. 

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Washington on a working visit to participate in the “C5+1” summit of the leaders of Central Asian countries and the United States and to hold meetings with U.S. President Donald Trump, members of the Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as heads of U.S. government departments and agencies.

In recent years, there has been a significant enhancement in the relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar. In particular, in 2024, relations between the two countries were elevated to the level of strategic partnership.

Today, in the ancient city of Samarkand - long a crossroads of cultures and civilizations—the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference officially opens.

On October 30, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will take part in the opening ceremony of the 43rd session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which will be held in the city of Samarkand.

Today, Uzbekistan continues to steadily strengthen its cooperation with the international community in education, science, culture, and innovation. In this process, the country’s partnership with UNESCO holds a special place. Uzbekistan became a member of UNESCO in 1993 – a historic step that paved the way for integrating the national education system, scientific potential, and rich cultural heritage into the global intellectual space.

The first session of the Fergana Peace Forum, titled “Fergana Valley: Uniting Efforts for Peace and Progress” is scheduled for October 15–16, 2025, in the city of Fergana.

On October 6-7 of this year, the 12th summit of the Organisation of Turkic states was held in Gabala, Azerbaijan.
