Uzbekistan-Turkey: 25 years to the Treaty of Eternal Friendship!

The Treaty of Eternal Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey was signed on May 8, 1996 in Tashkent.

May 8, 2021 marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of this Treaty.

According to the Treaty, Uzbekistan and Turkey, which are brotherly and friendly countries, will build their relations on the basis of cooperation and mutual trust. The Parties reaffirm their determination to actively develop relations on the basis of respect for each other's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, non-interference in internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit.

This Treaty is considered as one of the important international treaties between the two States.
