Uzbekistan increases the export of carpets by almost 44 percent

TASHKENT, February 21. /“Dunyo” IA/. Uzbekistan exported carpets to 18 countries worth $42.1 million in 2021, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2021, Uzbekistan exported the most carpets to Kyrgyzstan ($20.3 million), Azerbaijan ($7.4 million), Russia ($4.2 million), Afghanistan ($3.4 million), Kazakhstan ($2.8 million), Saudi Arabia ($2.2 million), Tajikistan ($538 thousand), Ukraine ($437 thousand), the United States ($430 thousand), Armenia ($185 thousand) and Turkey ($115 thousand).

Carpet exports increased by $12.8 million compared to 2020.
