Diplomats of Uzbekistan discuss initiatives to promote Uzbek language and culture abroad with compatriots studying in Turkiye

SAMSUN, June 5. /Dunyo IA/. As part of a working visit to the Turkish city of Samsun, diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Consulate General in Istanbul met with young Uzbek compatriots studying at Ondokuz Mayıs University and Samsun University, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The diplomats familiarized themselves with the academic environment, living conditions, and daily lives of the students. They also reviewed a range of issues and challenges faced by the young compatriots in their everyday life abroad.

The meeting was held in an open dialogue format. The students were briefed on the latest reforms and innovations in Uzbekistan’s migration legislation. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of strictly adhering to the migration rules and legal norms of the host country. The students were cautioned against involvement with suspicious groups and advised to avoid any unlawful, immoral, or criminal activities.

The diplomatic representatives underscored the importance of showing respect for the traditions, cultural characteristics, and religious beliefs of both the local population and students from other national backgrounds. They also highlighted the need to maintain interethnic and interreligious harmony and to avoid any potential conflicts.

Furthermore, the discussion addressed initiatives aimed at promoting the Uzbek language and culture abroad, including the organization of regular cultural and educational events among students.

The meeting was held in an open, friendly, and constructive atmosphere. The students expressed their appreciation for the attention and support and welcomed the idea of holding such meetings on a regular basis.
